About the Author:
I am Silas Davis, an author and lifelong student of faith.
I was raised in Portland, Oregon, in a hardworking community where perseverance
and determination were valued. I served honorably in the military, raised a family,
and worked hard to build what I believed was a meaningful life.
Yet beneath the surface, I struggled with inner conflict and unanswered questions.
I felt torn between embracing society and rejecting it completely.
Earlier in life, seeds of faith were planted in my heart by my mother and a
missionary, who reminded me that God is love and he is real.
Still, I pursued my own plans, believing I could navigate life through my own
strength.
The Lord's patience saved me. He protected me in moments that should have cost
me my life, and He patiently waited for me—even when I was too stubborn to listen.
When He finally called me back to Himself, everything changed. Through reflection
and true repentance, I moved from just knowing about God to finally understanding
what it means to be right with Him.
My website, Being Right with God: A modern-day teaching book, and The Book
of Testimonies exist to guide readers through God’s holiness, love, and purpose, and
to show how to overcome life’s temptations.
A modern-day teaching book provides a 12–week study guide that equips you to
recognize the hidden forces of distraction in life that we often overlook. Those forces
weaken you so that Satan can challenge you spiritually and separate you from God.
The book will teach you how to overcome and win.
The Book of testimonies exist to share that journey, offering biblical truth,
encouragement, and guidance for those seeking clarity, growth, and a deep walk with
God.
